The Heavens' Covenant

The Archive¶
Fragments recovered from across Kaelara. Letters, sermons, dispatches, songs, and documents that never made it into the official histories. Some were found in ruins. Some were confiscated by Justiciars. Some were pulled from the pockets of the dead.
None of them are the full story. All of them are true.
Military & Political¶
- Dispatch from Fort Caldrith — A Silver Legion commander’s report on the northern border. Things are worse than the Senate knows.
- Petition to the Imperial Senate — A Greystone grain trader’s formal complaint. The Empire is starving its own breadbasket.
- Recruitment Broadsheet — Silver Legion propaganda, posted in every town square from Velmere to Ravance.
- Justiciar Case File 4481 — An investigation into illegal Erythium trafficking in Valtharion. Redacted, but not well enough.
Faith & Heresy¶
- Sermon at the Sanctum of Solphirion — A priest’s address to a congregation that is starting to doubt.
- The Covenant Questioned — An anonymous pamphlet circulating in Blackmoor. The Justiciars want it burned.
- On the Nature of the Nether-Lords — From a book removed from the Archives of Velion. The author disappeared.
Personal¶
- Letter Found on the Wreck of the Starling — A Tirael sailor’s last letter home. The ship never arrived.
- Dream Journal, Author Unknown — An Umbric mage’s notes on what the Veil looks like from the inside. The entries get worse.
Songs & Stories¶
- The Salt and the Storm — The most popular drinking song in Ravance. Every port town knows the words.
- Othea’s Lullaby — A Tharun mother’s song. Older than The Empire.
- Blood on the Ice — A Vaeryn war chant, transcribed by an Imperial scholar who wished he hadn’t been there.
Scholarly¶
- Correspondence Between Archivists — Two academics arguing about why the Covenant is failing. Neither is entirely wrong.
- A Practical Guide to Greystone Harvest Bread — More than a recipe. A window into how Tharuns live.
